Selling my Canon 7D and its friends

August 29th, 2012

So it’s given me back my love of photography - but my 7D and are are parting ways. I’ve ordered a 5D MkII and thus I’m selling my 7D and it’s lenses - You can find me online at @doug_ellison

Here’s what’s up for grabs, with the price I’m expecting to get for them - plus postage to the lower 48.  I’ll update this entry as and when things get sold!

  • Canon 7D Body, boxed, battery, charger, cables ( $1,000 )
  • EF-S 10-22mm F/3.5-4.5 USM  boxed( $600 )
  • EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM boxed ( $300 )
  • EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM UD no box ( $550 )

Prices are based on the lowest ‘used’ prices on Amazon - a fair deal, don’t you think?

As for what the 7D and it’s friends can do…well…take a look here at my SmugMug page

Experimental Google Doc of Spirit TAU values

January 26th, 2012

Using Mark Lemmon’s great data from here the MER Analyst Notebook I tried an experiment using the new ‘Table’ feature in Google Docs. Very experimental and crude, but look just how well it shows off that data. Mark has his own great feature on his homepage at TA&M, but I know of many different datasets ( engineering and scientific ) that are work exploring with this feautre.
